Assessment
Assessment is carried out by all teachers as an integral part of their daily work. Their findings are recorded regularly and systematically, so that the information gathered may be used in planning effective learning experiences, building on prior knowledge, which enables each individual to achieve their potential. Wherever possible the children are involved in discussing their own achievements and in deciding, with the teacher, on ways in which they may make further progress.

Our ongoing assessment is carried out using our curriculum objective statements (and termly expectations in Maths and English). These are in line with the national curriculum and enable us to identify specific areas for children to work on and make regular and overall judgements about a child's attainment and progress.
Statutory assessment is carried out in accordance with the current regulations. We endeavour to make tests and assessments of any kind a stress-free and enjoyable experience for the children.
