School Council

Our School Council is democratically elected each term by the children in each class across the school.  Meetings are led weekly and cover a range of important issues and developments across the school.  The School Council has been involved in thinking about our Child-Friend Anti-Bullying Policy, how to design our new toilets, the consultation about becoming a Co-operative Trust School and compiling ideas for the Parish Council about local play areas.

Post lockdown the School Council felt it was important to improve signage around school to help new starters; "because they couldn't come in and find out everything from us".  The new Council of 2021-22 will help to complete this child-friendly signage project.

We also have an Eco-Council that has helped to achieve our Eco-Schools award.  This forms an important part of our school life and recognises the wider challenges that our planet is facing.  We are very proud of our children's approach to this and their willingness and enthusiasm for protecting not just our local area, but our world for future generations.
