Educational Visits and School Activities

We enrich the children’s learning experiences by providing the opportunity for them to enjoy various theatre productions or arranging for drama workshops to be held. During the academic year some of our Creative Curriculum sessions on Fridays include drama teaching by the Perform theatre group.

We have a strong relationship with SCL (Soccer Coaching Limited) who run a weekly PE session for children, as well as providing our Breakfast Club (from January 2017 our after school wrap around care) and some of our after-school clubs.

Most of our educational visits take place in the Summer Term, most recently the school visited The Lookout Discovery Centre where the children enjoyed a host of scientific shows and exhibits.  We also have visits to the local church.

We also arrange visits for the children to Milford Common and Secretts Garden Centre, making the most of our wonderful local facilities.

Year 2 children undertake swimming lessons at Surrey Sports Park in the Summer Term, using the state of the art 50m swimming pool and modern changing room facilities.

We are able to undertake these trips due to the support of our parents and the Friends of Milford School, who have agreed to part subsidise many visits to keep the costs down for our parents and families. For our school policy regarding educational visits please see the Policies section of our website.
